I am the office manager of a small electric company. I have no electrical experience. Do I need it to use this software?

If you will doing the estimating, you'll need to know how to determine the home runs, and if you are going to bid per code, you'll need to know the code requirements. You can always have someone redline the prints for you and then you will just do the take-off.

You'll need to be able to determine what additional labor will be needed for each job. The take-off will calculate the hours for installing the material in the take-off but you need to add time in for anything else. I.e., Job Set-Up, Deliveries, Travel Time. Paperwork, etc.

Other than that, you'll be entering the manpower on the job, any additional direct job related costs (Permits, etc.), Overhead, profit, etc.
